Hello! My name is Tori Schmidt and I am the owner of The Event Company.

I have spent the majority of my life in the wedding and event industry. Starting in a family owned limousine company and then spending my college and highschool years in a bridal store. Once in college I began working as a wedding and event staff member for a local venue. My job was working to coordinate the day of and staying through the event to ensure everything went smoothly. In the couple years before purchasing the company, I was an Event and Program Coordinator at a local university. I made the (not so easy) decision to leave my full-time job in 2017 to pursue the growth of the business that would become The Event Company. We have built our business mostly on the referrals of our clients and other local vendors. I am forever grateful to be a part of such an amazing community that I have grown up in.

I have always known in my gut that this industry was where I wanted to be. I have a passion for all aspects of the event and I really think that is what helps me give my clients the very best service. I hope to have this blog as a platform to share any knowledge and opinions with my clients or potential clients to help in any way that I can! Some of the topics might be humorous and others might be more informative. Either way I hope that it can offer the possibility to help someone in even the smallest way.
